Most Lead Lists You Buy Online Are a Waste of Money
Hello everyone, welcome back to the channel. If you're new here, YuzziTech Solutions Ltd helps businesses find the right clients through lead generation and digital marketing.
Today, I want to talk about something many business owners don't realize. A lot of people think lead generation is as simple as buying a list of emails online. They pay for a list with thousands of contacts, send one message to everyone, and expect customers to start replying.
But the truth is, most of those lists are outdated. Some of the people no longer work at those companies. Some email address don't even exist anymore. Some contacts were never the right decision-makers in the first place. So instead of helping your business grow, you end up wasting your time, your money, and your energy.
That's why I don't start with a lead list. I start with research. Which is one of the first Step i follow when looking for leads. So the first thing is Before looking for any contact, I first understand the business. I ask simple questions. What does this company actually sell? Who benefits from their product or services? What problem are they solving? Who is most likely to pay for that solution?
Once I understand that idea, I build what is called an ideal customer profile. That simply means I define the type of companies that are most likely to become customers. For example, I look at their industry, company size, location, and the kind of businesses they usually work with. When you know exactly who you're looking for, finding good leads becomes much easier for real. Instead of chasing everyone, you're focusing on the people who actually need what you're offering.
The Step Two is i Verify yeah. This is one of the most important steps. Finding a name is not enough. I make sure the person still works at that company. I confirm that they still hold the same position that I'm targeting. I also check that the company is active and still operating. If the information doesn't look correct, I don't use it.
This steps takes time, but it saves a lot of frustration later. There's no point sending emails to someone who left that company two years ago for real. That's one of the biggest problems with many lead lists sold online. Nobody has taken the time to verify the information. And do necessary steps.
So the Third Step is I personalise every introduction. Once I have a verified contact, I don't send the same messages to everyone. I write a message that fits that person and their company. Maybe I mention something about what their company does. Maybe I talk about a challenge businesses in their industry usually face. The goal is to make the message feel personal, not automated. People can easily tell when they've received a copy-and-paste email. Yeah. I know people can easily tell this days especially me. And most of the time, those messages end up being ignored. A simple, and honest, and relevant introduction usually performs much better.
And the last step which is step four is i actually track everything yeah i track every lead i work on and i keep the reference number. I record when I contacted them. I record whether they replied. I note if they requested more information. I keep track of whether the conversation turned into a meeting or a client. Without tracking, you're only guessing for real yeah. With tracking, you know what's working and what needs to improve. That helps you make better decisions over time.
Why This Method Works
Now, let me be honest. This process is slower than buying a list of ten thousand email addresses. It takes more effort. It requires patience. But in business, quality is always better than quantity. I would rather have one hundred verified leads that actually match a business than ten thousand random contacts that never reply. That's how businesses build real relationships and find better clients. Lead generation is not about collecting the biggest list. It's about finding the right people.
This is my Final Thoughts
If you've been buying lead lists and wondering why your emails aren't getting replies, this could be the reason. Spend more time understanding your ideal customer. Take time to verify your information. Write messages that sound human. Track your results. Those four simple steps can completely change the quality of your outreach for real. If you don't have the time to do all of this yourself, that's exactly what we do at YuzziTech Solutions Ltd. We help businesses find real, verified leads that match their ideal customers.
